Community involvement in the built environment is relatively new in Britain which is why research is at the core of our work.
We work directly on commissioned research projects and also advise on national studies managed by other organisations.
Current Projects
Opening Up Olympic Opportunities has been developed in consultation with young people in the five host boroughs and aims to produce a source of information about the specific employment and training opportunities available as a result of the Olympics regeneration developments. You can download a copy of the findings of our action research Positive Pathways for Young People project here which has informed the development of this research.
Past Projects
Fundamental was commissioned by Demos to collaborate on the case study research for Seen and Heard: Reclaiming the public realm with children and young people published September 2007 which explores the everyday experiences of children in public. Click here to download the publication
Soundings was a published series on our participant-led research between 2006–08.
