bridging the gap
Bridging the Gap is our regeneration awareness programme for schools,
which aims to give children and young people an exciting and creative introduction to architecture and show their teachers how they can use the
local built environment across the whole curriculum. Over 1400 Newham
pupils have taken part in the pilot phase of this programme which is ready
to roll out to the rest of the borough’s schools.

Our key programme the Architecture Crew invites
young people aged 13 – 19 in Newham to come
together and give voice to their views about their
local built environment. The aim of the programme
is to ensure that young people are civically engaged
in the regeneration of their neighbourhood and is
leading the field in sustained youth engagement in
architecture, urban design and public space.
